On June 2nd, 2014 Vaperror released the iconic album Mana Pool. This release steered vaportrap away from the leering haze and prickly technological vibes of producers like Blank Banshee, Contact Lens, and Subaeris. It shaped vaportrap with it's minimalist comforts and aqueous atmosphere which compliments the pointed beats that are meticulously placed in contrast to the liquid melodies.
On June 6th, 2011 the formative internet music compilation series SEWER GREATS was started by Sewage Tapes. The list of folks who participated in these 5 mixtapes spans across the worldwide web and touched on micro genres and movements like Seapunk, Cloud Rap, Chillwave, Witch House, Glo-Fi, hypnagogic pop, outsider noise and ambient music. Sadly the Bandcamp Page for Sewage Tapes is now gone and many of its releases, including this compilation series, are tough to find.
Listen to Episode 3 to find out more about this underrated series and it's heavy hitting alumni... We have uploaded the full compilation over on YouTube where it is finally able to be streamed for the first time in years!
