The original article (and it’s follow ups) are a bit tough to find due Dummy Mag’s website redesign and lots of 404s to the wrong page, but I thought this quote highlighted something important to the scene that is still relevant today:
This music belongs in the plaza, literal and metaphorical, real and imaginary – the public space that is the nexus of infinite social, cultural and financial transactions and the scene of their greatest activity and spectacle.
